DBT Mission was implemented the project under SamagraShiksha in 2018-2019. The following interventions are covered under the Direct Benefit Transfer Scheme:
Under the scheme, differently-abled girls receive special focus in order to help them to gain access to schools from class I to XII
The scheme has provision exclusively for differently abled girls student for providing a cashbenefit i.e. stipend @ Rs 200 per month for 10 months to each girl child with special needs(CWSN),
The Scheme of Inclusive Education for Disabled at Secondary Stage (IEDSS) has been launched from the year 2009-10; now it provides assistance for the inclusive education of the differently abled children from classes I to XII. The scheme covers all children studying in Government, local body and Government-aided schools, with one or more disabilities as defined under the Persons with Disabilities Act (1995) and the National Trust Act (1999).
Under the scheme, there is provision for such as medical assessment, books and stationary, uniforms, etc. with a maximum of Rs. 3500/- per year/per child.
Appropriate use of text books is a major indicator of quality education imparted in schools. Under the Quality and Innovation component, there is provision for textbooks to all children in Government/Local Body and Government aided schools, including Madarsas desirous of introducing the State curriculum, at an average cost of Rs.250/- per child at primary level and Rs.400/- per child at upper primary level.
As per the guidelines, State should ensure timely supply of books before the start of the academic session. For the purpose, a real time monitoring tool should be instituted so that there is no delay in supply of textbooks.
Under SamagraShiksha Scheme, financial support is extended for provision of two sets of uniforms for all girls, and children belonging to SC/ST/BPL families’ in Government schools up to class VIII at an average cost of Rs. 600/- per child per annum.
The option of Cash transfer will be allowed in the form of DBT to Aadhaar linked bank accounts
To access GoI funds, the State RTE Rules must declare uniform as a child entitlement up to class VIII. These will be appraised based on the data provided by the State for such children under SDMIS.
The Physical and Financial achieved by the State and UTs under the above intervention was entered on the PRABAND System in Samgara Shiksha every month. The Web-services was executed on 20th of every month on the PRABAND System by the DBT Mission Server and the Physical and Financial progress was auto updated on DBT Bharat Portal dbtbharat.gov.in
